A great and wonderful thread has emerged on the Etsy forums showcasing some of the most fantastic things I have ever seen. It appears as though there is absolutely no limit to the creativity of the human mind. Some of my newfound favourites from this thread include molecularmuse's shop, which is full of silver jewellery in the shape of molecules, for example there's the endorphin necklace, and the seretonin earrings. Another newfound favourite is this helmet made by megaplow, which can only make one wonder what exactly brings a person to the point where they wake up one morning and think 'today I'm going to make a helmet... yes... a helmet... and, hmm... let me think a moment... ah yes! I have it now... a helmet with real flames that shoot out the top!'
Finally, some pictures of my latest creation (which was a request from a relative and thus is not for sale, but I suspect that I could make another similar one if anybody was interested). I didn't give it a name because my grandmother doesn't need to hear about how her necklace is named after a song about the utter futility of human life as demonstrated by the Holocaust, the evils of capitalism (not to be confused with the evils of Capitalisation), or in fact any other topic which is covered on the cd I was listening to while making it.

That's the full view, and here's a close up:

and finally here's a demonstration of why these beads are called 'miracle beads', because once you shine bright light on them they tend to do this:

this isn't a flash effect (mostly because I didn't use the flash), the beads really do show this kind of three-dimensional ... well let's be succint and call it a 'thingy' shall we? It sort of feels like you're looking into the bead... very hard to describe and definately a lot prettier 'in the flesh' (so to speak) than can be captured by a camera. To be completely clear, ALL of these photos are accurate representations of the colours of the beads, depending of what kind of light they're under.

the colors on this one are really beautiful. I am always impressed by people who can do such great things with beads- I always get frustrated and then go and glue them to canvas or something :)
That is a pretty color!
Some people make fantastic things indeed, very impressive!
