Rain makes things wet.... for real.

Having had just removed all of the soaking wet clothes from the line which another family member had ever so diligently gone and hung out in the rain (and by that I do mean that it was in fact raining WHILE they were hanging the washing on the line) and popped them back in the machine for another spin cycle, I found myself with a spare ten minutes to fill in... so I grabbed my camera and took some pics of the various things to be found growing around the place...

Blogging about housework and gardening - it's all downhill from here, I'm afraid... with any luck my next entry will probably be on the miraculous cleaning properties of baking soda.

For those who are all eager to know how the PIF saga ended... it went on to become the most viewed item in my shop, getting over a hundred views in the space of four days... then was snapped up by someone who knew that they wanted free blue leafy earrings when they saw them. This was fun, and, I think, definitely worthwhile, both in terms of shop exposure and good karma.

Good news re: the PIF

Any idea what these flowers are called? They're lovely

As far as I know both plants are bromillias (no idea on the spelling!). I think they're rainforest-y type plants. I often see little frogs sitting in the bits where they catch the water.

Fab photos! I'd be quite interested in reading all about baking powder. Normally I would not be so keen, but I know you'd manage to make it entertaining :)

Great going with the PIF!

I must confess that the photos have been at least slightly enhanced... but more like 'super new hi-tech swimsuit' enhanced, rather than '3 square meals of steroids a day' enhanced.
