No, it's not a hairball coughed up by some bizarre yarn eating creature - they're my new hair scrunchies! Thanks to CraftySteph of Etsy (who, by the way, gets my vote for wonderful Etsian of the Week, were, of course such a title to exist) for these wonderful freebies which I won in a game of not-much-skill-at-all, namely "I'm thinking of a number...". Steph sells all sorts of things on Etsy, including scrunchies, tea stir sticks, incense, candles and jewellery. The thing about her shop which most impresses me however is that she's willing to share her promotion secrets, and in her shop announcement no less! Here's one of my favourite items from her shop (because lets face it, I'm a closet goth), a death-themed altered journal:

You can find CraftySteph's shop at http://craftysteph.etsy.com.
Thanks again for the scrunchies, Steph!

Thank you SO much for the kind words and the wonderful mention in you blog here....I'm so glad you liked the scrunchies I made!!
The game may not have required skill, but you failed to mention you won with the number 42. ;) The meaning of life never fails.
I'm really glad you love my shop and my journal also! The death journal is one of my favorite items also, as I have something of an obsession with death. I don't "like" it, even though I have a death journal, death shrine and even a death tea stir stick in my shop LOL, I'm just fixated with it (death).
Anyway I'm turning this into a book, sorry! I just want to let you know I really appreciate the kind write-up, and it's awesome that you like the scrunchies.
Blessings,
Stephanie D.
