Of Bert, Ernie and a prophecy come true...

There are some things you shouldn't make jokes about, my grandmother says, because they might just come true. Well I don't know if joking about making single earrings falls into that category, however after my last blog post about making earrings for people one ear, I actually accidentally went and did just that. Due to a miscalculation regarding the abundance of ruby druk beads residing in the wilds of tackle box B, I present to you The Earring For The Person With One Ear. It does not have a partner.




I'm still not really sure exactly what I'm going to do with it.

I have some more new items which are definitely blog worthy as they're actually fit to be sold (well, that's debatable... but we'll leave that for discussion next blog entry), but for some reason I think that what we all really need at this point in time is a bit of Bert and Ernie, don't you?




These guys are the end result of an afternoon spent scouring toy shops for the perfect Bert and Ernie dolls. Erm, why? You might ask. Well, all in the name of research of course, my dear friend. No, really, I'm serious. These guys are an integral part of my honours research project. In the event that you're about to reach the conclusion that I've finally cracked let me take this opportunity to reassure you that there are also children involved in this research project. And no, nobody gets dissected, electrocuted or injected at any point.... or at any rate if any of those things should occur it will most likely be due to the fact that I've grossly underestimated the sadistic capabilities of four year olds.
And if anybody is thinking 'those are either really big dolls or that's not a very big computer' the answer is that it's not a very big computer.
