So yes, I'm mutilating books again. Quite a large number of people took my last attempt at this as being some sort of profound anti-psychology statement... so this time I'm not going to mention which books I'm hacking up in case someone takes it as an indication that I'm an anti-earth worm, anti-gravity, anti-knowledge illiterate maniac with a Stanley knife out to destroy the entire wealth of knowledge amassed by the human race since the first caveman worked out he could scratch on a wall with a stick.

So far I've managed to successfully negotiate gluing the pages together and hacking the middles out of all three books with my trusty yellow (and since I managed to get a bit of paint on it this afternoon, black and green) Stanley knife. After I took this photo I got started on painting the insides (and, for some reason, my Stanley knife). The end goal for these three is too look either like extremely fancy books or very bookish boxes. Hopefully awesomeness shall ensue.

Looking forward to seeing how these turn out
Great mutilation project! Good luck with this.
That is fantastic, I have always wanted one of those secret compartment books...
It is funny how you mention which books you are cutting up :)
Can't wait to see them finished! I went through a phase of destroying books a while back to create sculptures. It was very tedious...lots of folding of pages. Fold. Fold. Fold. And the end result looked kinda crappy anyways. Sigh. I like your project better. Hacking into books with a Stanley knife sounds like a lot more fun!
Hilarious! Thanks for the laugh!
